IELTS Reading – General Training

In this test, you will have to attempt 40 questions within 60 minutes. The number of passages may range from 3 to 6. It is suggested to transfer answers directly to the Answer Sheet provided to you because no extra time can be availed to transfer the answers later on. Though you can mark on the question paper, scores will be awarded based on your answers on the Answer Sheet.

*The passages in the General Training Reading Test are shorter than that of Academic Reading Test and slight difference can be observed in the scoring Criteria. If you score 30, for instance, your band score will be 7 for Academic Reading and 6 for General Training.
