IELTS Reading – Academic

This test contains 40 question of different type that need to be completed within 60 minutes. It usually consists of 3 – 4 passages with increasing level of difficulty. Though you can mark content or write answers on the question paper, it is mandatory to transfer all the answers to the provided Answer Sheet. You will be awarded the scores as per the answers on your Answer Sheet, and remember that you will not get extra time for this.

Academic Reading Test passages are longer than the passages in General Training Test. However, the scoring criteria avails more band scores in case of Academic reading. If you score 30, for instance, your band score will be 7 for Academic Reading and 6 for General Training.
